Seth is running cross country again this year, and last Friday at the Liberty Bell meet in Littleton, CO he turned in a personal best time of 21 minutes for 5K distance. Here he is at the start, mid-race and at the end. At the beginning he is about 2/3rds the way back in the crowd on the side closest to the camera. You can see his very bright green bandana headband flash by. At the end I love his dry heaves once he's crossed the finish line.

Seth,
We are proud of you and your time. Personal best are always fun to keep track of.
Just for your information, you do have Peters blood in your veins; every time Jane,Alvie ,Annette Pam and Paul ran they had the dry heaves. It was so sad for us to watch but thankfully it only last a few minutes. Keep up the good running.
Love you,
Grandma Pearl and Grandpa John
Randy, thanks for sharing your blog. We wish we were closer to enjoy all of our grandchildren/great grand children in their activities. That would be my first wish.
the dry heaves. that is totally why i hate running. Go seth, you're a trooper! So cool that one of the Guthrie's managed to do high school sports...
Dry Heaves!! Heaving and still going. Love it! Good Job. (Puking would have made better video though)
Uncle Jason.
It's always funny when it is someone else. Excellent form. Seth and I have something in commont that I don't not think is shared with the rest of our silbings: We will sacrifice physical comfort in order to do our best.

Hey Wait a Minute!! I didn't see you up at Copper Mountain last winter in -15 degrees doing your best! That would be me, Seth and Jarom.

Got to love the dry heaves. That's one of the bad things about running. Glad it was his personal best. And I have to agree with Randy, he, Seth, and Jarom definitely give up personal comfort to go skiing and snowboarding.
