Denver Zoo Holiday Lights

One of the ways that the Denver Zoo makes money during the winter is to put up all kinds of Christmas lights and open up at night during the Holidays. Our real estate agent gave us free tickets for the past couple of years, but given the state of the housing market we understand why they didn't give them out this year. With Grandma Judy in town, we decided to take her anyway. As always, it was a chilly night, but it was nice to get out of the house and walk around. Jarom, Melissa and Bryson went with us.

Jarom introduces Bryson to one of the friendly elephants

Many of the light displays are animated

Many of the animals are kept indoors during the winter. The smell is one of the more memorable parts of the evening

The types of animals depicted in the lights correspond to the different sections of the park.

That looks like a great family outing. I love the lights and the animals.
Judy, I was so glad you got to spend quality time with your children. They are great.
Love,
Grandma Pearl

The holidays are so much more enjoyable with a house full of family. I'm so happy you sent for mom to join you. Happy Holidays!
